BruXsel City State ?

Here's some correspondants ideas about how to guarantee a future for the Brussels' Region during tne  next negociations

Bruxsel City State

Brussels is not asking for separatism but is indeed in search of a statute as an independent region. Whatever language they speak, the people of Brussels want to decide their region's future themselves, just as Walloons and Flemings do.

If tomorrow one of those two regions should decide to leave the Federal Belgian State, Brussels would have to make choices quickly.

It's from today on that we have to think about that possibility.

Join the Flemish nation ? Join the French-speaking 'nation' ? Be governed by the two other regions ? Create a European District ?

Will those solutions respect all inhabitants of Brussels ?

Wouldn't Bruxsel City-State be a better idea ? Just as Singapore, Hong Kong, Berlin, Monaco and a series of other City-States that have a healthy relationship with their neighbours.

Advantages and disadvantages of this solution ? Thanks for adding your comments and your suggestions that will help us to decide if a City State is a feasible option.
